His mystic power and physical strength made him the most powerful man of that time, who changed history of Russia forever. Nicolas II and his wife Alexandra lived a life of luxury and opulence, but their son Alexis, heir for the throne, suffered from hemophilia. Empress was desperate to find someone to heal tsarevich Alexis. In 1905 Rasputin comes to St Petersburg to show his ability of healer and he is introduced to the Royal family. Rasputin was able to stop bleeding of tsarevich on any occasion. Once he went to Siberia and the prince felt very bad. Empress telegrams about it to Rasputin in despair and he replies: « Pray to God! Little one will not die! » And next morning the bleeding stops. His influence on the royal family becomes extremely strong.
When all people decided enough of Rasputin, then the final story was already scripted. In a cold night of December 1916, Rasputin was invited to the Yusupov palace on Moika river by Prince Felix Yusupov on occasion to meet his beautiful wife. Rasputin was dressed in his best silk shirt, leather boots, ready to meet gorgeous Irine. He was invited down to the basement and given poisoned cakes and Madeira wine. But all this didn`t affect him. At this point Yusupov becomes impatient, frustrated, takes a pistol from conspirators, comes down again and shoots Rasputin twice. Rasputin falls into the ground. Yusupov believes, that he was dead and goes up to conspirators. In 40 minutes he goes down to check his dead body and suddenly Rasputin opens his eyes and tries to strangle him. Then he gets up and runs into the courtyard, where one of the conspirators shoots him again and he dies. The conspirators take his dead body, drive to the river and throw it into the frozen water. Rasputin`s body washes up in a couple of days later and he is finally dead.
